Emergency Room observations

I was trying to find a funny patient interaction video...but this came up and it's just too funny to leave out!

I'm normally not the patient at UNC Hospital but last night I hurt my shoulder at work...and became a ED patient for a few hours. While sitting in the triage waiting room, I was able to observe the interactions between patients...the crap they talk about each other, what they say about the nurses, self diagnosing each other, etc. I was not able to disguise myself (sitting in my UNC blue scrubs), but this didn't deter them from bashing the hospital staff.

One woman talking about taking someone elses chicken nuggets or fighting them....patients speaking about a family that didn't speak English....one patient told another patient she had a kidney stone...one woman was so sick....she left and went to the cafe then came back complaining it was taking forever...calling people "fat-a$$ motha...." ya get the drift....then there was ME thinking (how did I get mixed up with this crowd!)....

It just amazes me...kudos to ER nurses!

Defiantly a new experience being on the other side of the hospital...a patient!
