Yes! I have a goal to run a 1/2 marathon! 13.1 miles!
There is a 1/2 marathon in Virginia Beach next March! This gives me plenty of time to 1. start running and 2. start training! Hopefully the luck of the Irish will be with me during this journey!
I have spoken with friends who have completed 1/2's in the past and they have given me a training schedule...I have a app on my iphone to keep me running and tracks my runs....new shoes are needed....but, I think I'm ready!
Any advice, tips, words of encouragement are welcomed!
Sleep Tight Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite...that was a saying that I grew up hearing from my parents, neighbors, friends etc....everyone said it...just like they said hello and goodbye....no one realized that bed bugs we're REAL!!! Back in the 18th century they were a problem...and are a problem AGAIN!!!
I can't deal with a spider, roach, cricket much less a BED BUG!!! It just makes my skin crawl! I guess I'll be investing in nightly Benadryl!
I proposed the idea to my brother to have our Chocolate Lab trained at the K9 Academy in Florida to sniff out Bed Bugs! I think that could be a promising career for Gunny!!!http://www.bizjournals.com/dayton/stories/2010/09/20/story4.html?b=1284955200%5E3948381

Some women look and look and look... Some women find a color then glance at what the color is called... Others hold the bottle up to their toes to see how it looks...
Do you attempt to have a conversation with the manicurist?
How long do you really have to wait to have dry/smudge proof nails?!?
Hmm...in the end though...you have beautiful nails!!! Jancie
36-24-36 = genius: Data from the National Center for Health Statistics suggests that children of moms with wide hips but a low waist-to-hip ratio (the classic hourglass figure) score highest on intelligence tests. The explanation? Fatty acids stored in hip fat aid brain development in fetuses—womanly curves create brain power, literally. — Jessica Winter
If so, you need to see WHO'S BAD! They are a Michael Jackson cover band that plays all over the world! Some of the member in the band are NC natives! It is hands down a great show! We started out the night with homemade pizza at my place....invited some friends over for dinner then went out to Cat's Cradle to see the show! Great night if you ask me! Check out Who's Bad and see if they are touring near you!
The CCRN is a certification for critical care nurses. It is not a required certification, but is something that I've always wanted to get since starting in the Intensive Care at UNC!
This is a new favorite of mine....Dixie Chick's Lullaby They didn't have you where I come from Never knew the best was yet to come Life began when I saw your face And I hear your laugh like a serenade
How long do you want to be loved Is forever enough, is forever enough How long do you want to be loved Is forever enough Cause I'm never, never giving you up
I slip in bed when you're asleep To hold you close and feel your breath on me Tomorrow there'll be so much to do So tonight I'll drift in a dream with you
How long do you want to be loved Is forever enough, is forever enough How long do you want to be loved Is forever enough Cause I'm never, never giving you up
As you wander through this troubled world In search of all things beautiful You can close your eyes when you're miles away And hear my voice like a serenade
How long do you want to be loved Is forever enough, is forever enough How long do you want to be loved Is forever enough Cause I'm never, never giving you up
How long do you want to be loved Is forever enough, is forever enough How long do you want to be loved Is forever enough Cause I'm never, never giving you up Is forever enough Cause I'm never, never giving you up
I was a slave at UNC Hospital working Sunday and Monday! Sunday I worked in my normal unit Surgery/Trauma Intensive Care and I picked up a extra shift Monday in the Medicine Intensive Care (MICU). I tell everyone that the MICU is my overtime spot of choice. It's something about getting out of your regular unit, interacting with different nurses, doctors and patients. It's a nice change!
Afterward Mondays shift, my nurse friend Mike and I decompressed with dinner at Milltown in Carrboro!! Delicious!
